Summer in the Dolomites: a truly relaxing holiday.

The Park Hotel Sancelso offers you a relaxing stay. You can rediscover freedom and wellbeing, walking through the amazing forest of the Travignolo valley – just in front of the hotel – and then enjoying a drink on our panoramic terrace or relaxing in our spa and wellness area. You will be surrounded by a stunning view everywhere: the Dolomites, a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Rocks, woods, mountain tops and valleys make this place special and unparalleled, allowing you to observe and understand geology in a unique context of great environmental value. We can provide our guests with free tours with a geologist – the perfect opportunity to observe and understand the geological environment, dating back from 270 millions of years to today.

Summer activities at the Park Hotel Sancelso, Bellamonte, Dolomites

A moment of total relax set in the amazing natural landscape of the Dolomites: from our hotel, you can admire a spectacular scenery, with a stunning view over the Pale di San Martino mountain.

Make use of our panoramic terrace, sip your drink and enjoy the lights of the sunset, or relax in our wellbeing area, with Finnish sauna, steam room and Scottish shower.

  • Geotrail of Dos Capel- guided tour with a geologist. Walk at altitude, between geology and landscape, following the path of the ancient volcano of Predazzo, before the fossil atoll of Latemar.
  • Geotrail Valles-Venegia – guided tour with a geologist. A ring trail that will lead you to know the ancient Permian and Triassic rocks, dating back 250/280 millions of years ago – witnesses of one of the biggest extinctions of our planet.

Not only spectacular landscapes, lot of activities and endless relax, but also a delicious barbecue with your friends!

In summer, once a week, we organize an easy walk with a delicious barbecue of local products: delicatessen and cheese, luganega (a special pork sausage), polenta (boiled cornmeal), eggs and grilled vegetables, everything served with the finest regional wine from Trentino… you can’t miss it!

We also recommend you to visit the geological museum of the Dolomites in Predazzo (free entry with the Fiemme Card): a museum with a long tradition, opened to the public in 1899, that tells the story of the Dolomites – 200 millions of years of history, from its creation to becoming a Unesco World Heritage Site- providing a modern and elegant approach.

Predazzo has always been a very important place for the geology of the Dolomites: the knowledge of the Monti Pallidi (that is, the Dolomites) began right here; and it was here where the first “International Congress of Geology” took place in 1903. Counting over 12.000 findings, among fossils, rocks and beautiful minerals, this collection in Predazzo is considered to be one of the richest preserved in Italy.

At the Park Hotel Sancelso you will meet Lulù and Joy, two nice ponies loved by kids, and Linda, a Haflinger horse with great personality and self-confidence. Looking at them, we will start talking about ethology, wellbeing – theirs and ours-, and the great relationship you can build with horses. We will conclude this experience with a short horseback riding in the woods, feeling totally relaxed, surrounded by a fairy landscape and wrapped in the scent of the silent forest. This program is free and available for our guests only.

A beautiful and original Yurt is available for our guests in the park of the Hotel in summer. In this round and muffled setting, you can feel the magical atmosphere of nomad cultures and suddenly be carried to a different dimension: could it be for its decorations, natural materials or its scent, it is definitely a special place to relax, read a book, listen to music, sip a spiced tea – maybe prepared in the silence of a wooden fire. Such an authentic and unusual experience!
